If there is one social network that never lets me down content-wise it’s Instagram. There’s nothing that cheers me up more than the colourful images being published day after day. Here are my 10 favourite feeds:
One of my favourite places in the world so far has been the Emerald Isle. Magical and mysterious, it definitely is the land of fairies and gnomes. Here you’ll see the beautiful coast and the green hills, rainbows on cloudy shores and everyday life. I love this account because it’s a collaboration of different photographers, capturing Ireland in their particular way.
2. @travellingcars – Kim Leuenberger
What’s not to love about tiny cars taking over the world.
3. @tanaka_tatsuya – Tatsuya Tanaka
I love how this art director creates very common scenes with every day objects. You have two mandarins lying around? Turn them into desert islands. A few domino pieces? Turn them into buildings. Sushi? Make a mountain waterfall. Every picture includes tiny, tiny people who make each composition come alive. Pure genius!
4. Zwickstrick – Karen
Karen loves to knit and it shows. All of her projects are colourful and beautifully shot. Beanies, socks, wrist warmers, pot holders, you name it it’s there. If you need inspiration for a new knitting project, check her out. You won’t be sorry!
5. @scottradkeart – Scott Radke
If you’re a weirdo like me and not very fond of all things cute this is the account to follow. Scott Radke’s art could very well be featured in a Guillermo del Toro movie. I love the pieces he creates because they fit perfectly in that dark fairy irish landscape I love so much.
6. @sarahkbenning – Sarah Benning
I recently discovered this account dedicated to contemporary embroidery inspired by nature.
7. @seth_globepainter – Seth
I wish all buildings would have his vibrant art. Don’t you?
8. @benjaminlacombe – Benjamin Lacombe
Benjamin Lacombe is a French Illustrator whose style I love. If you’re an Edgar Allan Poe reader, you may have seen the “Tales of the Macabre” book, which is marvellous to look at. He obviously shares a lot of his art and progress on his account, but also tattoos his fans have gotten with his images. Currently he is working on a book about Frida Kahlo.
9. @anna.rastorgueva – Anna Rastorgueva
Her Instagram has tons of amazing sketches of everyday life done mostly with Copic Markers. I wish my Bullet Journal would look like this!
10. @dj_spliffy – Alex Sanchez
I love his urban landscapes filled with black & white nostalgia (yes, there are color pictures too) and the beauty he gives to everyday moments.
Do you have Instagram accounts you just can’t wait to see and would like others to know about? Share in the comments!
